The pomelo fruit is related to grapefruits and oranges.

First, the untreated fruits are peeled immediately after harvest and chopped. Next, the fruit is fermented in its own juice for at least 30 months before the fruits are shaped into balls and packaged under protective conditions.

The pomelo is characterized mainly by its high vitamin C content, which is supplemented by calcium, potassium, magnesium and phosphate. The high proportion of bitter substances are also highly valued in TCM. The bitter taste comes from naringin and limonine.

Recommended use:

• Enjoy 1-2 pomelo a day. Be sure to drink enough water while eating the fruit.
