Description
Amla is particularly rich in tannins, vitamin C and flavonoids and has been used as a plant for thousands of years in traditional Chinese and Tibetan teachings as well as in Ayurveda. It is considered a toning hair and protective skin care product.
When used for hair care, amla tones and nourishes the scalp and provides shine. It gives the hair strength and protection, makes it easier to comb and is ideal for mixing red to dark colours.
Application:
- Mix the required amount of amla powder with hot water to form a paste and leave to rest for at least 1 hour. Do not use a metal container for mixing.
- Apply the paste generously to the hair and scalp and leave it on for 20 to 45 minutes (the greasier the hair, the longer the application time).
- Rinse thoroughly with clear water and enjoy a silky hair feel, shine and optimum combability.
- Pure amla powder does not create any visible colour effects. Mixed with other plant powders, such as henna or indigo, it creates a more homogeneous and creamy paste and slight reflections in the colour result, which depend on the respective mixing ratio.
Note:
- Due to its high vitamin C content, amla can cause slight redness in particularly sensitive skin types.
- In extremely porous, light or bleached hair, amla can lead to slight colour changes.

I have used Ala Powder for the first time now and I am superhappy with the results. Hair is soft and really glossy. I didn't have this result with normal conditioners - therefore I am really impressed that purely natural product can give such results.
I have mixed Amla with water and a bit of coconut oil, left it for two hours to "develop" and applied on roots and hair. Application was a bit messy, but results are really worth it. I will for sure include Amla in my hair routine. Since I am a beginner in natural hair care - I can really recommend Amla Powder for people like me - starting their journey with sustainable and natural products.
