Powdered rock (or potassium) alum is a colourless and odourless salt. It has antiperspirant properties and is ideal for making deodorants whilst respecting the environment and the skin. It has astringent properties and is therefore ideal for use on small cuts and when shaving. In addition, it is ideal as a setting agent for henna dye.
